WHY A BOX

Why choose a Wedding Dress Preservation Box?

Keeping a gown in a plastic garment bag or an ordinary cardboard box is not ideal for the years ahead. A plastic bag can yellow fabric and trap moisture, and ordinary cardboard and tissue are not made for long-term storage. A purpose-made preservation box with acid-free tissue is a more suitable way to keep your dress folded, protected and presentable.

To pack at home, place acid-free tissue between folds and around delicate areas of the gown, avoiding excessive pressure on the bodice, embellishments or structured sections. Pack the bodice so it is not crushed, close the box, and store it somewhere cool, dry and away from direct sunlight. Make sure the dress is clean first, because marks such as make-up, perspiration and food can become harder to treat over time.
